As per the resolution No. CCI/102022/145/K dated 11-02-2022 of the Industries and Mines Department, a new training policy has been implemented. According to the provisions of the new training policy resolution, to maintain uniformity in the training activities conducted under various training programs run by the boards/corporations/institutions under the Commissioner of Cottage and Rural Industries, the Gujarat Matikam Kalakari & Rural Technology Institute has been assigned the role of nodal agency.

As part of this, a Nodal Training Cell has been established at Gujarat Matikam Kalakari & Rural Technology Institute, Gandhinagar, for the collection of training data, monitoring, and evaluation of various training programs conducted by boards/corporations/institutions under the Commissioner of Cottage and Rural Industries.

The Training Cell performs ongoing and post-training tracking activities of the training programs organized by training partners and boards/corporations/institutions through phone and field visits and accordingly submits reports.

In addition, the Nodal Training Cell reviews training proposals received from the empaneled training agencies as per the EOI guidelines and submits the proposals to the Training Approval Committee for approval.

The Nodal Training Cell is also responsible for the empanelment of training partners to ensure result-oriented training programs.
